Penang

The kids and I headed off to Penang for a few days R&R. Hadn't been there for a while, the food wasn't as good as it used to be! But the weather was nice, with a cooling thunderstorm every afternoon.

 From the Butterworth-Georgetown ferry.
 Honeymooners.
 Missing my old Rover.
 Pasa Malam vendor.
At least the satay was how I remembered it!

  1. The first image deserves to be printed out large and put on a wall !!
Was this the same image you were referring to where you needed to have the extra color cast to get the image as close as what you saw in actual scene?

  2. Thanks Robin, and thanks for being the first to comment on my blog! I took your suggestion to heart. Most of my images are family related, and end up on Facebook. So I'm going to use the blog to present my less personal images.
And yes, this is the image I was talking about. The unprocessed image was very flat, but the clouds that morning had the most amazing colour. Back in film days I used to deal with sunsets by using a flash, and exposing for an image in the foreground.Still do for a sunset portrait.
